Established in 1950, the Mississippi Valley State University is a historically black public university that is located in Itta Bena, Mississippi. The university offers bachelors and masters degrees through its colleges, namely, College of Arts and Sciences, College of Education and College of Professional studies. The degrees offered include Accounting, Sociology, Business Administration and Management, Mathematics, Public Administration, Computer Science, Electronic Technology and Visual Communication. It also offers Honor Programs.
