Alverno College established in 1887, is an independent institution offering liberal arts program. The College offers graduate and undergraduate programs in 60 areas of study. Programs are offered within the four schools - School of Business, School of Education, School of Nursing, and School of Arts and Sciences. Academic programs offered at the College include arts, biology, chemistry, community leadership, education, English, history, mathematics, music, nursing, philosophy, political science, physical education and sociology.
