The Academy of Oriental Medicine at Austin was founded in August of 1993 and was originally known as the Texas Acupuncture Institute. Master of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (MAcOM) program offered by the Academy is rigorous and thorough. The departments of Acupuncture, Herbal Studies, integral studies, Biomedical Sciences and Research form the core of the Masters program.
