Study abroad in England

The students who wish to study in England can opt for a variety of good quality universities in England. Admission in most colleges in England begins from the age of 18 onwards. The education in England is largely funded by the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE). The state does not control the syllabus of the colleges in England, but it does control the admissions procedures.

Typically, the first degree offered by a University in England is the Bachelor's Degree which takes 3 years to complete. After which, a student who wants to study abroad in England can take up a 1-year Masters Degree course. Thereafter, the student can study further in a 3-year Doctorate Degree Course.

Some colleges in England are now also offering undergraduate Master's Degrees which take 4 years to complete. For those students who are weak in a few subjects, there are Foundation Degrees offered by the universities in England which last anywhere between 1 and 2 years.

Studying in a university at London is considered to be quite a privilege and a unique experience by many students, as London is the capital city of the UK and offers a varied exposure to a multi-national learning environment.
