The Hallward Library, in the centre of University Park, is considered to be one of the UK's finest library buildings. Its four floors house the arts, humanities, law and social sciences collections. The University archives can also be found here, with records of the University, staff and student societies and the Students' Union collected since the opening of University College, Nottingham in 1881.
