Lancaster University was founded in 1964 and is one of the world's leading research-led institutions. The University offers an extensive range of degree, master’s and PhD level programmes that are recognised internationally. With around 11,000 students, which include over 1,500 international students from over 100 different countries, Lancaster is a diverse and welcoming environment for study.

 

Lancaster University is set in 250 acres of parkland and lies approximately 3.5 miles south of the historic city of Lancaster. The campus is easily accessible and is within 70 miles of Manchester's International Airport. Lancaster is also located just south of the Lake District National Park, famous for its mountains and scenic views.

 

Lancaster is one of the few UK universities to operate a collegiate system; it comprises of nine distinct and exciting colleges, of which all students and staff are members. Students from Lancaster have excellent career prospects and students receive support from the University careers service (CEEC) throughout their time at Lancaster University. Once they have moved on from Lancaster, graduates will become part of a worldwide community of over 70,000 alumni in over 120 countries.
