Academic excellence drives everything that is done at BU. The BU community includes over 17,000 students of which 1,500 are international students from around 130 countries. Bournemouth offers superb facilities, cutting-edge research, committed and friendly staff.
BU is situated within two student-friendly towns, Bournemouth and Poole, at the heart of the largest non-industrial conurbation in Europe, sandwiched between the UK’s newest National Park, some of Britain’s best beaches and Europe’s largest natural harbour. Bournemouth is less than two hours from London with trains running directly to London Waterloo.
It is home to a major financial services sector (JP Morgan Chase, Nationwide Building Society and Liverpool Victoria among others) as well as having the largest concentration of language schools outside London and many national headquarters including the Royal National Lifeboat Institution and Sunseeker International.
Bournemouth University is located on two campuses:
Talbot campus
This campus is located two miles from Bournemouth town centre and is home to the majority of Academic Schools, the Sports and Recreation Centre and the Student Village.
Lansdowne campus
This campus is based near the town centre and is home to the School of Health and Social Care and the brand new Executive Business Centre.

The University offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses along with research through their six academic schools dedicated to subject areas within business, conservation science, design, engineering and computing, health and social care, media and services management.
