Sydney is a cosmopolitan city that offers an exciting selection of entertainment, shopping and sightseeing. The city has a great public transport system and the main UTS city campus is just 10 minutes walk from Central railway and bus interchange.
The UTS City campus islocated right in the heart of Sydney's cosmopolitan central business district (CBD) and north shore. Students can take in all of Sydney's sights and attractions which are just a short walk or bus ride away. The City campus includes two main sites- UTS Ultimo and UTS Haymarket,as well as UTS Blackfriars and other teaching and administrative buildings in the area.
Ultimo campus:
The Tower building, a landmark on the Ultimo site, houses 28 floors of lecturetheatres, labs and tutorial rooms, not to mention bars, lounges andcafés.
Surrounding the Tower is a number of faculty buildingsalong busy Broadway and Harris Streets, including the Engineeringbuilding, the Bon Marche building (Humanities & Social SciencesFaculty) and the Information Technology building. Over the other sideof Harris Street is the Peter Johnson building which houses the Design, Architecture & Building Faculty, with its state-of-the artworkshops and computer facilities and the thriving UTS Gallery &Art Collection.
The local DAB café serves delicious gourmet food, and students and staff regularly meet in the sunny courtyard forworking lunches.
Haymarket campus:
The Haymarketcampus is only five minutes’ walk from the Tower building. Law andbusiness courses are offered here. Across the road from the campus isthe Market City complex, and nearby are China Town, the EntertainmentCentre and Darling Harbour. Haymarket is a colourful and multiculturalpart of Sydney.
Kuring-gai campus:
The Kuring-gai campus is located in Lindfield, a leafy and peaceful suburb on Sydney'snorth shore. The award-winning Kuring-gai campus building accommodatesthe Nursing, Education and Business faculties, classrooms and lecturetheatres, the Kuring-gai Library, conference facilities and afull-equipped gymnasium. It also houses the Union Centre and its licenced bar, eatery, bookshop and TV lounge.
Kuring-gai campusis about 20 minutes drive north of Sydney's central business district. Bus services are available to the campus in Lindfield, apart from which there is also a free shuttle bus service that runs regularly betweenKuring-gai campus and the other campuses.
