South Western Sydney Institute is committed to providing a quality learning environment and support services for International Students.  The Institute ensures that friendly advice and guidance is available from the day the students arrive. Each College has an International Student Coordinator who is available to help students with practical advice and solutions with issues relating to their studies, college life and beyond.

Students need to obtain prior permission from the International student coordinator before enrolling and commencing other courses.

International students are advised to notify their college coordinators and The Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) about any changes to their residential address.

The Colleges strive to ensure that International Students fulfil their academic commitments. TAFE NSW is obligated under Commonwealth Government Legislation to notify The Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) about student academic performance. Poor academic  performance over two semesters  may result in automatic visa cancellation. International students are constantly advised to aim for 100 per cent attendance in order to be able to fully benefit from their course.
