TAFE NSW- Northern Sydney Institute is located north of the famous Sydney Harbour Bridge, close to the city and also to beautiful beaches. All colleges can be easily reached by train or bus, day or night. Above all, the Institute provides a friendly, supportive and safe environment for international students.

The Institute’s colleges are located in the beautiful northern area of Sydney, famous for parks, trees, restaurants, cafes and beaches. The colleges are all within easy reach of Sydney’s central city area.

Sydney is situated in the temperate zone and experiences a mild climate of 23° celsius in summer and 14° celsius in winter. The city’s Central business areas are well lit and public transport is monitored and patrolled by security officers.

International students are permitted to work 20 hours per week. Many students find part-time work in retail, office administration, and tourism and hospitality. Each college has a job placement service which helps students free of charge.

Students can easily find a wide variety of good, affordable accommodation close to each college on Sydney’s North Shore. Housing options include full-board, shared accommodation, rental housing and hostels. The College Accommodation Officer helps students find accommodation to suit their needs.
