Foundation studies

Foundation Studies
The Foundation Studies program offers an academic bridge into first year of any university degree. This program builds upon the student's studies in their home country and helps them to meet the entry requirements for undergraduate courses at La Trobe University. Through academic study skills, students are able to meet the English language requirements of their chosen degree.

Diploma Programs
The diploma programs are alternative pathways to degree studies. On successful completion of course requirements students gain entry into the second year of a degree program at university. They are given credit for eight first year units, and enter into the second year of their corresponding degree. The assessment and moderation of Diploma subjects is overseen by the relevant University faculty.

There are currently two diplomas offered at the International College:

Foundation Studies and Diploma courses are taught in small classrooms. These programs are also offered via associate universities and by other institutions overseas and in Sydney.
