Location

The La Trobe International College is based at the Bundoora (Melbourne) campus of the La Trobe University.

Bundoora is La Trobe's main campus. Students from over 90 countries live and study in the beautiful bush land setting. The atmosphere is vibrant and friendly and is only a half hour car or bus ride from Melbourne's city centre.

Melbourne is the capital of Victoria and is the second largest city in Australia. It is known to be a very culturally vibrant and tourist friendly city. It is clean, safe, dynamic and exciting, and well known internationally for its universities and other educational institutions. Melbourne is consistently ranked as one of the most live-able cities in the world.  The city has an organized transport system. Like most modern cities the transport system (trains, trams and buses) is integrated and this helps in providing seamless travel. The La Trobe University campus is connected to the central business district by trams, express buses, and bus and train connections.

The city is headquarters for many of Australia’s largest corporations and is the major of Australian industrial activity.  Melbourne is also famous for active night life which includes cinema, theatre, art, ballet, opera and shopping. It is a very “sporty” city and plays host to many international sports events including test match cricket at the famous Melbourne Cricket Ground and the Australian Open Tennis tournament.

Melbourne is very close to the beautiful Australian coastline with excellent swimming and surfing beaches, national parks, forests, agricultural areas, wineries, winter snowfields and summer alpine resorts.
