La Trobe International College offers a wide range of English Language programs for international students. Students studying English have access to the Independent Learning Centre (ILC), student advisory service, computer and language laboratories. The College also regularly organises field trips, excursions, language and social activities, to help students explore and live the Australian experience.

The English language courses offered are:

A) English language intensive courses for overseas students (ELICOS)
This includes courses in general English, business English and English for further studies.

B) Specialised English Language Programs     
This includes internship programs, which are a combination of English and professional industry placements in a wide range of areas, study tours and customised short courses. 

C) Teacher Training
The International College has conducted English language teacher training programs since 1992. The institution conducts top of the line teacher training programs.  The College also conducts professional development programs for teachers from various countries.
