Established in 1946, The Australian National University is one of the world’s most highly regarded universities, consistently ranked number 1 in Australia and 16th in the world (Times Higher Education Supplement, 2008).

As one of the greatest research-intensive institutions and Australia’s only member of the International Alliance of Research Universities (IARU, ANU enjoys a high ratio of academic staff to students, world-class facilities and an educational culture built on an all-pervading sense of discovery.

The University is home to 14,365 students, including 3,379 international students from more than 100 different countries, and consists of seven Colleges, namely:
