I was happy with the way the internship program was structured. The professors were good and we had a good research environment. On the whole, it was a great learning experience. My advice to students would be to study hard and get good recommendations.
Selection process and gaining admission
I did not have to write any exams for my selection process. I needed a visa. The interview wasn’t much trouble. Just a long 4 hour wait for my turn. It was pretty easy to get the tickets. I flew Air India. It wasn’t that great and we didnt get any student fare. I landed at Los Angeles, which is a 45 minutes drive to the institution. 23 kgs was allowed for check in, though excess baggage was allowed. I did not face any immigration issues. I was picked up by the university.
I was happy with the way the internship program was structured. The professors were good and we had a good research environment. I attended a few lectures. The lecture halls were good. I had access to the library, It was great. I had access to sports facilities; they were great.
On the whole, it was a good learning experience. I stayed at the hostels. They were pretty good. The didn’t have fans though. Not much night life around the university, though there were places in the city, with a lot to offer during the night. Weather was sunny.
