The student life in Melbourne is good, i have enjoyed it. My advice to the prospective students would be that it's good to do a basic investigation by yourself regarding the uni/college you are planning to join rather than just full depending on the agent and believing everything.
Selection process and gaining admission
I came here through an agency called IDP from India. I searched the internet and talked to lecturers and friends in melbourne. It has a work expeirence practicum to it and good practical classes, so i chose it. It just took me amonth to get admission here. The process was easy, friendly and no problem. I just needed an undergraduate degree to get entry into the Masters program.
I was not eligible to apply for scholarship, I pay the fees myself and with the help of my parents. Its not possible to work and pay the fees at the same time.
The favorite thing about my studies are the practical classes. Most of the teachers here are talented, good. Regarding units, some of the units are not useful to the course, there should be more option. The classes here are more multicultural. I study for 3 days per week, its enough for me.
Most services that are required for a university student are there for us. I dont have much time for clubs and groups. The place where i live is cheap and safe .
Yes, i believe that my prospects of getting employed have increased as a result of my studies here. Most probably, i will work in food science related field. Yes, i would like to keep in touch with my friends too.
