my experience here has been very good. the university has been very supportive. gave me all the information and support i needed here.
Selection process and gaining admission
i went through an agent in india in my city and they helped me get admission here in this university. earlier i had done a bit of research on all the australian universities and found uni adelaide be the best option to choose from as it is in the group of 8 universities and also in adelaide and adelaide is cheaper to live in compared to other australian major cities with good universities. getting a student visa was a long process as there was so many paperwork involved in it.
i came here through bank loan. there are a few scholarships here. but for that you need distinctions and higher distinctions in all the units.
i am doing civil engineering. it is a demanding course. but i get a lot of help from my lecturers and tutors here with my assignments and studies. i enjoy doing the assignments here. compels us to get innovative. thats a good thing about the lecturers here. they help us find our inner innovators. i got to learn a lot during these assignments from the lecturers and also from my fellow students here.
university of adelaide is undoubtedly one of the best universities in australia and the world and its recourses and facilities is also world class, the best. the library is big and has countless number of books. the uni bar is also very good. cheap drinks and a very good place to socialise. it also hosts barbecue parties every sunday...free food and drinks. i love it. and also the societies and clubs are there. many of my friends are actively involved with the societies. i stay with a couple of my friends in the city. it is a good place. very near to the university and everything. part time jobs are easily available here. just have to take the pain to apply. i got a part time job in around like 3 months.
yes i think i will be getting more job offers after i pass out from here rather than where i was before. my chances of finding a good job in my field has increased manifolds studying here. yes i will be keeping in touch with all my alumni members.
