Yes, i am enjoying my time here. I am so happy to stay here with my girlfriend in this beautiful city. My advice would be - atudy as you can and enjoy your life to the full. Also do some part time job to help you enjoy your life a little more.
Selection process and gaining admission
I read online about RMIT, its a good college for engineering abroad. I got helped by an agency from my country. It too me about 3 months for the visa process. I would have to say that the visa thing took a bit long. I didnt need any special qualifications to get entry into this program.
I did not apply for any scholarships because i am an abroad student. I didnt submit any thesis or article neither did i publish. My parents are helping me to fund my studies here. Never pay fees by working part time, its hard.
I am studying Masters here. I enjoy the bits when we have to make presentaitons. Most of the teachers are so friendly. The units are ok not too good. All the students in my class are internaitonal. I study for 4 day/week. I think its insufficient for Masters study.
The student facilities include library, lectures rooms, labs, in short we have good facilities. I live in Brunswick, its okay not too bad living there. Its also hard to apply for jobs here because most employers seek a permanent resident or a citizen. I have no time to join clubs and groups at uni because of studies, assignments etc.
Not sure if my job prospects have increased here in melbourne. I will however try to find a job. I would like to keep in touch with classmates but joining the alumni associaiton depends on my visa too, it may get expired too.
