Overall experience

I had really enjoyed my time at University of Southern Queensland. That is because I have met a lot of people here - they have a very good nature. I really enjoyed my time with them. I just passed my time very smoothly. Made a lot friends there. First semester was very exciting because sharing all things with friends and that was very new experience to know different things which you do not know.

Selection process and gaining admission

the whole procedure is easy. I applied by myself. I search on the university's website and enrolled online. Admission staff was so friendly and helpful at the time. There wasn't a face to face visa interview. I came here in 2006. My advice is USQ admission staff are so friendly and helpful so no need to consult an agent. That is really easy to get enrolled if you know what you really want to study.

Funding and scholarships

USQ offers funding and scholarship. But I do not have any idea. I can say that yes they have some funding for international student.

Your study experience

My course is Masters in Accounting. MPA is a very demanding course in Australia, which helps me to get PR easily. But basically i am interested in accounting. I like to do practicals. I liked maths so I choose this course. I studied 30 to 35 hours per week. I worked 20 hours part time when i was studying. Lecturers are good. I did received a good support when I need. Yes for my side my course is value for money.

Your life experience

The university has many facilities. Big library, you can get more books elsewhere. Very big computer labs in all buildings in University. Football playground. Music instruments room. Local people are very friendly. I spend plenty of time to visit this city. Yes part time job is easy to get. but you have to make balance between study and job.

Job prospects

I finished my Masters last year. As a good result in all semester I had maintain my GPA (grades) which helps me to get a good job. I am working as an accountant in Brisbane.
