I came to Bishop Burton College as a BTEC national diploma student, but stayed at the college to complete a Foundation Degree in Agriculture and finally topped up the full BSc(Hons).
My passion for agriculture, particularly dairy farming, has earned me a clutch of awards including the Royal Agricultural Society of England award as the best student of the foundation Degree in Agriculture, the Farmers Club Pinnacle Awards (for students who show strong business acumen and managerial flair) and a 1,000 pounds from the environment agency for a project looking into diversification and environmental management. It is great to be recognised like this for doing something you enjoy and doing it well. These wards will really be of benefit to me when start working full time.
After completing my degree, I am hoping to manage a top milking herd in the UK, but I would also like to travel to New Zealand to gain experience in their dairy sector.
