Posted by: Hitesh Parmar from Gujarai
Level of study: Undergraduate Degree
Year of graduation: 2006

Overall experience

I am enjoying it so far. It is very multicultural. QUT is the most technical other than UQ or Griffith, so It is a good choice

Selection process and gaining admission

Very easy, By using an agent the process is pretty much done for you. However, since they run on commission an easier way would be to directly apply to the university yourself.

Funding and scholarships

I don't have a scholarship

Your study experience

It is ok. I spend about 20 hours a week. My lectures and tutorials are helpful, though it is very expensive

Your life experience

Good balance between good and bad. Brisbane is busy, and I prefer it over Sydney or Melbourne. It is very multicultural. However, the rental unit I am staying in is expensive and finding a part time job is hard.

Job prospects

Certainly, my job prospects have increased. I will keep in touch with my fellow alumni by email still, even after my course. If I were to complete my studies I would be with my family.

Would you recommend your institution to future students?
