I feel very satisfied and happy being here in Australia. I had a very good time in my school life as well. However I have confidence to see that I am nearly finished to make my dream come true by achieving a master degree from a reputed university. To me an university study is kind of fun for me. I had some concerns about my master study but I had learned what I want in life as i became more serious about it. Moreover I have lots of good friends around me. I love to study at Griffith University because I receive a very high standard of study with well experienced lecturers. My advice is for people who come to study at Griffith University is try to keep in touch with fellow students, University programs. Unions should be avoided.
Selection process and gaining admission
It was like 6 months of total before I got my student visa. But it was fairly easy. I got help from IDP in my home country India, which helps me through. The process was much easier because of IDP's guidance. I want to advice international students to spend some time writing your cover letter and Statement Of Purpose which you need to attached in the file for embassy.
My course is about Masters in Accounting. The best thing about it i would say is the staff we got here. Very well experienced lecturers and we all respect them. I also have lots of friends around me, I love the time we spend together, we discuss in group work, have fun outside, we always try to keep each other smile. It is great to have this one of a kind experience. I learned a lot and know how to be independent. I studied 3 days a week, and work part time during the remaining days.I get study support from the school.
Griffith University is very peaceful. Facilities at Griffith Uni are all in good condition, admission staff are always ready to help students. I study in Brisbane which i like most. Not far from my home, local area is very nice, many shopping malls around there, theaters, live events. Public transport is very flexible, you may not find any problems with it. You get concession card for students. My accommodation is quite near to the City and the uni so that?s really convenient for me to come to class or library everyday. I take part in some clubs for fun and also be a member of the International Student Union.
Accounting is a good course to study here in Australia and demanding as well. I have received weekly new letter from Griffith University which shows which companies offer a job. Only one thing is you really have to study hard in relation to this course. I haven't been a part of an alumni association yet but I have plans too if given a chance.
