Depending on the course other students from my country are interested in. I would ask them to choose the University of Glasgow.
Selection process and gaining admission
I wrote IELTS exam as part of the admission process. I prepared with the help of few IELTS materials. I didn’t attend any coaching classes for the exam. I used the service of a educational counselor named “The Chopras” in Chennai. I have a Visa. I didn’t have any Visa interview. Since I didn’t attend any Visa interview I am unable to answer the question whether the Visa interview was difficult or tough. It was easy to get tickets to Glasgow. I flew through British Airways. They offered a student fare. I landed at the Glasgow International Airport. The Airport is about 12 miles away from my Institution. I was asked to carry a hand luggage of a max of 23 kgs and 2 checkin luggages of a max 46 kgs including both. I didn’t carry any excess baggage. I didn’t face any immigration issues at the port of entry. My University didn’t offer a “Meet and Greet” service at the airport.
My University didn’t offer any kind of scholarships for my MBA Course.
I am extremely happy with the way my MBA Program has been structured. Most of my professors are good, but few are ordinary and they have to improve. Lecture halls are perfectly designed. Library is huge with books and materials available on all subjects.
I preferred the accomodation provided by the University. I am living in the University accomodation. They are really good. We have full sports facilities. Its pretty easy to get part-time job in my University. The city of Glasgow has a very good Infrastructure and well-developed. Night-life in Glasgow is one of the best in the UK. Weather is cold and rainy, most of the time. Yes, there is an International student society in my University. They provide guidance and support to all International students
My University doesn’t have placement cell. Its easy for the International students to get jobs if they try on their own. There is no campus placement process in place. Work permit process is very easy. Yes, we have alumini society in my University. Alumini is pretty dull. Alumini doesn’t help with placements.
