Overall experience

There should be no second thoughts on joining Manchester Business School.

Selection process and gaining admission

I took the GMAT and GRE (Subjective) tests before applying for the course. I prepared on my own and didn't take help of a counselor. I applied for a Students Visa through VFS and the process was quite simple. I flew British Airways to Manchester and was entitled to the Students fare, which also allowed my excess baggage. There was no 'Meet and Greet' program at the airport.

Funding and scholarships

I received a scholarship for my studies

Your study experience

I am happy with my program. Professors are pretty good. But there is always scope for improvement! The lecture halls could be rated as fair. The Library on the other hand is very good!

Your life experience

I opted to live in housing provided by the university, which is like living in a shoe box and reminds you that you are a student now. I do work part-time along with my course. The night life in the city is brilliant, but the city gets drunk by 8 PM! The social scene in the city very active too. The weather- well it rains 12 times a day. There is an International student society in the University which handles special events. They organize Language courses, tours etc.

Job prospects

The University has a placement cell where campus recruitments take place. International students equally benefit from this. The Career Services actively leverage on their contacts to provide students with opportunities to network and engage. The rest depends on how you take it up from there. The work permit process should hopefully be simple! There is a huge Alumni Society that is quite active There’s plenty of room to engage more alums though.

Would you recommend your institution to future students?
