When I was applying abroad, one thing that attracted me to UK universities was the sandwich course, which gives you the opportunity to work with company while studying at the same time. I thought this would give me the option to put theory into practice.
Life at UK is entirely different and you can equally enjoy the other side of the life. You can get an individual independence here and try and learn to manage things.
I worked with finance department at Intel and was in charge of invoice bookings, bank reconciliations, ledgers. I learned a lot from my work experience. The most important was time management, as I was in charge of four different things at the same time. My communication skills have improved too and I had to a lot of presentations to managers. When I was completing my placement with Intel, they offered me a graduate job for when I finish my course.
Would you recommend your institution to future students?
