I knew I wanted to get away from big, busy places and go somewhere that would be smaller, more personal not a place where I would be just another face in the crowd. When you look at the population of Bangor itself, and then see how many students there are on top of that, you know that this is going to be very much a university town, where you will feel part of a student community.
I settled in really quickly as the Peer Guide System was excellent during those first few days. No wonder people feel homesick at places where you are allowed to sit in your room for days, here your Peer Guide makes sure you are joining in. Freshers Week was great. I am really enjoying it here, there is far more to do than I expected. I was very aware before I came here of Bangors reputation for psychology, and the reputation and the high standard of the course was apparent in the first year lectures I have had.
If you are looking for not only a great education, but a great life experience Bangor University is the right place for you. Coming to Bangor was the best decision I have ever made in my life and I would not change that for anything.
