It was a good learning experience in terms of a normal student life.
Selection process and gaining admission
What was important for admission into NUS was the A Level result and the SAT score. There was no interview –either for university entrance or for scholarship. I did not need a visa because I am a permanent resident here.
The professors were all very good and I enjoyed the course. I lived in a hostel which is guaranteed for the first two years for all International students after which it is determined by the number of points accumulated through extra curricular activities.
We have a career centre which is very useful in sourcing for jobs as well as training for interviews. Both locals and foreigners are treated equally when it comes to getting jobs, except in dire times like the present where preference is given to the locals.
