Friends, have a target in mind and work towards that.
Selection process and gaining admission
I had to take up an exam for my selection to AJC (written test + interview), I prepared for it on my own - only self study. Did not attend any coaching classes or take the help of an educational counselor. I flew SIA, got the tickets easily and had a comfortable flight. I dont know if the airlines offered a student fare. Landed at Changi airport and thats around a 30 min drive from the university. The allowed baggage rules were 20+7kg, excess baggage was allowed. I faced some issues at the immigration, nothing major and it was soon sorted out. The college did not offer the Meet and Greet service.
Program is good though there is room for improvement. The lecture halls are not very good and the library is just average. We are offered full sports facilities.
I stay in private hostels. I dont know about part time jobs. I feel that there is not enough interaction between people to make the social life really enjoyable, night life is great. Weather is moderate. There is no international student society here.
There is no placement cell at the college. The Alumni Network is not very active, may be it helps with the placement...Iam not sure.
