Overall experience

I had some issues with the classes here because sometimes I felt that classes were too easy. I was learning things which I already knew. The student life is studying and working, don?t get much time to be free, except if you have enough money to pay your rent or fees. Otherwise, it is a lot of struggle and hard work. My advice to the students is that they should be clear about the course that they want to study and not come here and complain about the course, they should do their research before coming here or joining a course. Otherwise it will be a big problem.

Selection process and gaining admission

I applied for this course through an agent, he referred me to this course in this college. He told me about a short English course which I had to do in order to get entry into uni program. It took me around 3 months, the enrollment process was easy also.

Funding and scholarships

I did not get any scholarships, because I was in a rush to come to Melbourne so I over looked it and didn?t apply. At the moment, I am funding myself for my studies here.

Your study experience

I am studying English here. Sometimes I feel that I already know things but I have to study it. The course is good for beginners in English but not for the ones who are used to English. The teachers are good and try explain every little things. The classes are held for 5 days and this doesn't give a student enough time to work.

Your life experience

I think the students use the basketball court, pool, library and internet facilities. There are doctors also available. There are some clubs and groups too but I haven?t joined them because of my uni timing. Its difficult for me to manage time. I am living here with Indian housemates who are going to uni. The rent is cheap but not very cheap. There is other costs like public transport and food too. Finding a job is hard but if you have friends then they can refer you to work.

Job prospects

I will do my masters degree after I finish this course, I think that this course will help me get a job later on.
