After graduating from university in Mumbai in 2003 I spent a number of years working as an assistant manager, however I felt that I needed a further career boost. I really wanted to climb the ladder and I knew that studying an MBA overseas would certainly enhance my CV and make me more attractive to employers- either in India or on an international level. I'd never been to the UK before and received many offers to study here however I finally decided on Edge Hill after looking at the Hi website. I was looking for somewhere to really focus and put in some hard work and the campus at Edge Hill has really allowed me to do that.

As for the MBA itself the sessions are really enjoyable and the tutors are incredibly supportive and understanding of the pressures we are under – not just as students but students who are new to the UK. I'm one of a number of international students studying a programme in the Business School and the tutors are always on hand to offer advice and guidance, whatever the issue.

I live in the halls of residence on campus which means I have all that I need close to hand. The surroundings are just amazing as there's a great mix of beautiful scenery and modern buildings – in particular, the new Business School building. I often work as a Student Guide, showing prospective students around campus and it's clear that being able to study in the new building is a real incentive for them to enrol here.

My aim is to become a Business Development Manager and I've already started applying for jobs in the UK. Studying at Edge Hill has certainly been a great experience and I wouldn't change a single thing.
