Selection process and gaining admission
I wrote GRE and TOEFL. I Prepared by myself using Barrons, Kaplan, Big Book, Flash cards. I did not attend coaching classes. I used the services of an institution called 'Gyan Foundation, Mumbai'. Visa was needed. It was not very difficult experience. I flew by Lufthansa, as they offered student discount, landed at Washington DC which was very far from University. Baggage rules were 2 bags of 23 kg allowed and 3rd bag allowed of 23 kg for 1st time student. No issues at Immigration. We were picked up by the "Student Council of India".
Difficult to get assistantship.
I was happy with the program structure. It was really good. My professors were really good. Extensive Library with good collections of books.
I Stay off-campus. Good sport facilities are available. Bad weather. It is easy to get part-time jobs.
Has a Career center but its more useful for undergrads. Not easy for International students to get job. No idea about the help provided by the alumni.
Would you recommend your institution to future students?
