I like Melbourne, the atmosphere, the events go around Melbourne. My advice to students seeking to come abroad to make a career would be - be prepared for hard work.
Selection process and gaining admission
I applied for my course, through an agent, it took me a month to get in.
I was not eligible to apply for scholarships, so i gave it a miss. I had a bank loan to support my education while i was studying. With part time work, you cannot pay your uni fees.
I studied engineering, my best bits in course were the practical experiments. The teachers were all friendly and helpful people. We were taught using powerpoing slides, handouts and books. During my course, i studied 4 days per week.
For student facilties there were internet, library, restaurants, banks etc. I would say its too hard for a student to find a good, suitable part time job. The place where i live is safe but it comes at a price. Yes had many clubs and groups in our uni. I join the Students Guild and the internaitonal student Association.
I am done and finished with my course now. I am working as an engineer now. Yes, i am in touch with fellow alumni, there is an alumni associaiton for the graduates to join.
