The University of Adelaide was founded in 1874. Around 20,500 students are currently enrolled at the institution. It is one among the G8 universities and offers programs in agriculture, business, law, engineering, mathematical and computer sciences, architecture, medicine, dentistry, humanities and social sciences, music, teaching and sciences at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The university has five campuses, including a wine centre and a research park located at The Barton. The chief branch is the North Terrace campus. The other two campuses focus mainly on agriculture-related subjects.
