Accelerated B.S./M.S. in Industrial Engineering

This program provide an accelerated track for outstanding undergraduate Industrial Engineering students who are also interested in pursuing a Master of Science degree in Industrial Engineering. The Accelerated B.S./M.S. option requires 142 credit hours of undergraduate and graduate coursework and requires graduate-level research, including an M.S. thesis. The B.S./M.S. option is intended to be completed in five years. The option is only for students majoring in Industrial Engineering at the University of Oklahoma. Juniors with a minimum grade point average of 3.25 may apply.
Accelerated B.S./M.S. in Industrial Engineering with Information Technology option

This program provide an accelerated track for outstanding undergraduate Industrial Engineering students who are also interested in pursuing a Master of Science degree in Industrial Engineering. The Information Technology Accelerated B.S./M.S. option requires that some elective courses be taken in computer science topics and consists of 155 total credit hours. The Information Technology B.S./M.S. option requires graduate-level research, including an M.S. thesis, and is intended to be completed in five years. The program is only for students majoring in Industrial Engineering at the University of Oklahoma. Juniors with a minimum grade point average of 3.25 may apply.

The biotechnology option emphasizes engineering of biological systems not necessarily related to human health and medicine. Examples include: biochemical processing for manufacture of pharmaceuticals, chemicals, and fuels; fermentation processes; and genetic engineering.
B.S. Chemical Engineering - Premedical/Biomedical Engineering Option

The premedical/biomedical engineering option emphasizes preparation for medical school, and/or a focus on engineering related to human health and medicine. Examples of topic areas include tissue engineering, drug delivery, cell interactions, and medical biosensors.
B.S. Chemical Engineering - Standard Option

The standard option prepares students for a career in the wide variety of chemical process industries or for graduate engineering studies. Technical electives allow emphasis on energy, materials, process systems, environment, or other areas of interest.
B.S. in Chemical Engineering Biotechnology Option / M.S. in Bioengineering

Students completing these programs will receive two degrees: the BS in Chemical Engineering and the MS in Bioengineering. This program is accelerated because students may double-count (i.e., simultaneously count in both the BS and MS Programs) 12 hours. Students must complete an M.S. thesis in the field of bioengineering. This M.S. degree opens opportunities for research and development jobs in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and biomedical fields.

B.S. in Computer Engineering/M.S. in Computer Science

The program allows students to pursue a graduate degree in conjunction with the undergraduate degree requirements. Students admitted into this program can use up to four courses (12 credit hours) to simultaneously satisfy the requirements of both the BS, and MS,degrees. Students generally apply for the program two or three semesters before completion of the BS, degree, and minimal requirements for this program include a 3.5 GPA at the time of application.
B.S./ M.S. in Civil Engineering

Civil engineering is comprised of four areas of emphasis: environmental, geotechnical, structural and transportation engineering. The undergraduate civil engineering student must complete a sequence of core engineering courses plus one or two courses in each of these areas.
B.S./ M.S. in Computer Science

The School of Computer Science provides a broad and flexible undergraduate curriculum. In addition to the general university requirements in the humanities and sciences, computer science students take eleven courses covering the fundamentals of the discipline, eleven courses in mathematics; chemistry and physics; beginning with calculus, and three electives chosen from computer science courses offered at the senior level.
B.S./ M.S. in Environmental Engineering

The core curriculum for environmental engineering is similar to civil engineering; however, the last two years of the program focus strictly on environmental courses. Students are required to take courses from at least three of the following areas: air pollution control engineering; water and wastewater engineering, solid and hazardous wastes engineering, and environmental/occupational health engineering.
B.S./ M.S. in Environmental Science

Students pursuing a B.S. degree in environmental science at the University of Oklahoma complete fundamental courses in environmental science, chemistry, math, botany, zoology, physics, microbiology and political science. These courses are followed by upper-level electives in one of four areas: chemistry, biology, math and physical sciences or policy and administration. This flexible program prepares students for careers in government, consulting and industry.
B.S./M.S. in Aerospace Engineering

The combined BS/MS 5-year program in Aerospace Engineering is offered for qualified undergraduate students to pursue graduate education in conjunction with the undergraduate degree program in each curriculum. The accelerated program will require 152 credit hours for the thesis option and 158 credit hours for the non-thesis option.
