This program prepares students for positions in agricultural, consumer and environmental sciences that require communication expertise. ACES Communications students complete a minimum of 20 semester hours in College of Communications course work in one of three specializations: Advertising, Broadcast Journalism, or News-Editorial Journalism. Additional courses in agricultural communications help them build communication planning skills and while learning and practicing how to present science-based information to varied audiences via multiple communication channels.

This program prepares graduates to be productive members of the aviation industry by addressing the importance of human factors and cockpit resource (crew resource) training in the prevention of accidents and the enhancement of flight safety. It involves two core components. The first includes an instructional sequence of professional pilot training courses that will enable the students to obtain their FAA private, instrument, commercial, multi-engine, and flight instructor certificates and ratings. The second component is the human factors core which includes cockpit resource management, aviation psychology, and aviation accident investigation and analysis. Additionally, students will fulfill the university general education requirements and will also be able to complete an outside area of concentration in another related field, such as Business, Economics, Speech Communications, Geography, Psychology, etc., which will complement the two core aviation program. Students will also complete thirty-four hours of elective courses, some of which will be used toward the outside area of concentration and must be approved by an adviser.

In this program students learn about the interactions between agriculture and our environment. They study the ways in which commercial agriculture affects managed and unmanaged ecosystems through courses on plants, plant pests, ecology and environmental issues. The Agroecology concentration addresses ecologically based management of cropping systems, stewardship of the environment and sustainable food production systems.

This program is designed for students planning to pursue graduate education or seek professional positions that require more basic science than is included in the other Crop Sciences options. Basic science courses offered by the Department of Crop Sciences and by other departments of the university are emphasized. Students follow a first-year program of science and general education requirements similar to students in other Crop Sciences options. Programs for the second, third and fourth year are planned in consultation with the student's faculty advisor in the area of biological sciences.

This program allows students to combine a strong background in cropping systems with courses in business management, marketing, and agricultural and consumer economics. Crop Agribusiness applies the principles of crop production in a business setting. Students develop a broad appreciation for plant production by studying entomology, plant pathology, weed science and soils. The agribusiness courses help students develop business skills in management, marketing and finance.
