Accelerated MSN for RNS Without a Bachelors Degree

This program is offered for the nurse educator and nurse administrator specializations only. The accelerated RN-MSN degree completion program provides additional education to RNs who received their initial nursing preparation in diploma and ADN programs and do not have a bachelor's degree out of field. This program builds on previous learning, prepares nurses for a higher level of nursing practice, and provides RNs with the education necessary to move forward in their nursing careers. This program takes two years and one semester to complete. The baccalaureate level content missing from diploma and ADN programs is built into the front-end of this program. Mastery of this upper level basic nursing content is necessary for students to move on to graduate study. Upon completion, the master's degree is earned.

This program provides a comprehensive view of the field and prepare students for career opportunities in professions related to the care, prevention, assessment, and rehabilitation of sport-related injuries. The Athletic Training bachelor's also provides a strong foundation in the sciences for students interested in pursuing graduate study in athletic training or in the related fields of exercise physiology, occupational therapy, physical therapy, recreational therapy, and physician's assistant. This program prepares students for the actual clinical skills required for the medical professions. The specialization provides the opportunity for students to add a deeper scientific foundation to their curriculum and enables them to develop skills in hands-on techniques, diagnosis, and treatment.

Students in the five-year BS/MBA program can choose between the following MBA specializations: Accounting, Finance, Management, General. Acceptance into the Five-year BS / MBA Program requires a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA, a minimum 500 GMAT score, and the approval of the Director of Graduate Programs. All qualified business students will be invited to apply for this program by the Dean of the School of Business after completing their sophomore year based on a cumulative GPA of at least 3.50. Invited students who apply for the program must take the GMAT and complete the application for admission to the MBA program before the end of their junior year.
