This program provides professionally-oriented management studies suitable for those working or wishing to work in national parks, recreation parks, Aboriginal and historic sites, urban parks and wildlife management and gives the opportunity to work as a technical officer or field officer in a wide range of areas including parks and other protected areas. The course is taught by dedicated professionals with a wide range of industry experience. Staff have expertise in wildlife management, fire ecology, vegetation management, Aboriginal heritage management, recreation design and planning and landcare. They have worked as consultants and as managers within many government agencies. Several staff have also been appointed to advising bodies within agencies to address issues such as rare and threatened species management, visitor import management and the conservation of our inland waterways.

This program is designed to educate vineyard managers and people establishing small vineyards and wineries. It teaches skills in vineyard establishment and management and provides an understanding of winemaking and the relationship between grape and wine quality. Basic sciences provide the background for subjects ranging from vineyard site selection to table wine production. The course allows study by distance education so grape growers may obtain professional training whilst employed in the industry.

This program provides instruction in the basic sciences, research skills and the health, welfare, behaviour, nutrition, genetics and breeding of animals, including farm animals, pets, performance animals, wildlife and zoo animals. Other characteristics of the course include a component in practical skills, including animal handling and the development of skills which will prepare students for lifelong learning and effective communication with scientists and lay people. It is a four year undergraduate degree with an integrated Honours stream.Study in this degree commences with a broad foundation in biological sciences, and in the third and final years, offers alternative streams of study in wildlife, captive vertebrates, horses, companion animals, livestock, or research.
