Course description This course enables students to combine the social science and policy studies available in the BSocSc with the study of the visual arts and culture, and art administration provided in the BArtTh. Students undertaking this combined degree program complete the core requirements of both the Bachelor of Art Theory and the Bachelor of Social Science degrees, together with an approved major sequence. On completion of this program, students will have attained a sound knowledge base in both Art Theory and Social Science.Program Structure.

Entry requirementsStudents must have completed Year 12 or equivalent. Students from China and Pakistan should have completed an accredited or an equivalent bachelor degree. African and Singaporean students should have undertaken a minimum of two GCE "A" level subjects at one sitting, while those from Malaysia must have a minimum of two academic STPM "principal" level subjects at one sitting. Students from USA must have undertaken SATs (Math and Verbal) or ACTs, and provide proof of graduation from High School. They must also satisfy the English language requirement as follows: IELTS score of at least 6.0 or a TOEFL score (paper-based test) of at least 550, with a minimum score of 4.5 in the TWE, a TOEFL score (computer-based test) of at least 213, with a minimum score of 4.5 in the essay component, or a TOEFL score (internet test) of at least 79, with a minimum score of 21 in Writing.

Application details Students currently completing an Australian Year 12 (either in Australia or offshore) or NZ NCEA Level 3 qualification or the International Baccalaureate in Australia must apply through Universities Admissions Centre (UAC). Students from other countries should complete the application form and attach certified copies of original documents, including academic transcripts from high school and any post-secondary study as well as original copies of English language test results.
