Course description This course provides students with a broad understanding of a variety of scientific principles and skills to apply their knowledge to solve problems and provide solutions to a variety of situations - vital skills sought by employers and therefore a particular advantage when entering the workforce. This will provide students with a broad background in basic sciences. The degree offers a flexible three year program with a diverse range of specializations, depending on their career aspirations making it possible to enter into a wide range of industries.

Entry requirementsStudents must have completed Queensland Year 12 or equivalent English. They must also satisfy the following English language requirements: IELTS Academic: Overall Score of 6.5 and Writing score of 6; TOEFL (CBT): 237 with Essay Rating score of 4.5, TOEFL (PBT): 570 with TWE (Test of written English) score of 5 and TOEFL (IBT): Overall Score of 90 and Writing score of 21.

Application details Students who are currently undertaking year 12 in Australia must apply through Queensland Admission Tertiary Centre. Students who are not currently studying in Australia must send in the completed application form to The Manager, International Admissions Section, The University of Queensland, Level 2, JD Story Building, Brisbane, Queensland, 4072, Australia along with the following documents: certified copies of all transcripts of results, award certificates, grading systems, and translations (if required); proof of English language proficiency and documents for credit assessment. A non-refundable application fee of $100 has to be enclosed along with the application form.

Accommodation details

This College typically provides students with individual study bedrooms containing a single bed, desk, chair and storage space for clothing and other belongings. Some college rooms have attached bathrooms (en-suites), but the more usual arrangement is to share the bathroom with other students. Colleges provide educational amenities such as group study rooms, computer labs, printers and photocopiers and tutorials that are in addition to the standard university classes; and recreational facilities such as common rooms, landscaped gardens, gymnasiums, practice courts and music rooms.

This campus has on-campus single room accommodation for up to 406 males and females, with shared bathroom facilities, three high quality meals per day served in the Dining Hall. It consists of small number of self-catered facilities available to senior, postgraduate and mature-age students, and short term motel style accommodation and conference accommodation.
