Course description This course is accredited by the Institute of Actuaries of Australia (IAAust). On completion of three year Bachelor of Actuarial Studies with grades of credit or above in the relevant units in the program students are granted exemption from Part 1 of the IAAust?s professional exams. If students complete a four-year double degree involving actuarial studies (or the longer combined degree with Law) with grades of credit or above in the relevant units students are granted exemption from Parts 1 and 2 of the IAAust?s professional exams. This double degrees have been approved by ASIC (Australian Securities and Investments Commission) - authorised assessors as meeting ASIC?s training requirements in relation to RG 146 compliance for derivatives, financial planning, foreign exchange, generic knowledge, managed investments, securities. Students should be aware that some specific units need to be completed in order to get accreditation.

Entry requirementsStudents should have a minimum IELTS (Academic English only) score of 6.5 overall, with 6.0 in each section; minimum TOEFL (paper based test) score of 580 overall, with 53 listening, 52 reading, 59 structure/written expression, 5.0 TWE; TOEFL (computer based test) score of 237 overall, with 19 listening, 19 reading, 25 structure/writing and TOEFL (internet based test) score of 92 overall, with 18 listening, 17 reading, 22 writing, 22 speaking.

They must pay a application fee of AU$110 while submitting the application form; application form must be enclosed with certified copies or original evidence of English language proficiency; certified copies or original evidence of all academic qualifications, including transcripts and graduation certificates; if students are requesting credit for previous study, attach certified copies or original evidence of syllabus and detailed unit information and if necessary, attach any other additional information or portfolios.
